Chrysanthemum, oolong and hibiscus. Peppermint and ginger. These are the teas that will be key in one Thonglor cafe’s quest to give boozy drinks a stretched-pinky upgrade.
Best known for its quality teas, Te Time and Space recently split off a tippling doppelganger called After Te Time, where the tea baristas turn bartenders to shake cocktails made of tea blends.
Among its tea cocktails are the Midsummer Gimlet (THB280) made with French rose tea, organic hibiscus and mulberry leaves matching with gin and angostura bitters. Spices and dried herbs come together in Hae! Chodchaii (rum, ginger, Japanese peppermint tea, mulberry leaves, sugar cane syrup and rosemary for THB280).
Fan of a true classic, calming chamomile, should give the Chamomile Ginfizz (THB280) a try for its mix of gin, chamomile tea, chrysanthemum, marigold, licorice and egg whites.
After Te Time is currently open 6:30pm until 11pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It is located inside Te Time and Space on Soi Thonglor 25, reachable by motorbike or taxi from BTS Thong Lo.
