If you’re looking for an excuse to get the girls (or guys) together, Sofitel’s annual Wine Days events are starting next week through the end of October to coincide with the wine grape harvesting period in France.
This events, held in their lobby Wine Boutique, lets guests mingle with one of the hotel’s sommeliers, who can teach more about the wines being tried.
The first event is a Wine & Cheese Buffet, held each Wednesday during the period, from 7-9pm and will offer cheeses and free flow wines from Spain, France, Italy, Germany and South Africa for THB990.
The second event is a free Wine Fair geared to professionals looking for wine suppliers but open to anyone to come in and have complimentary tastings from 2-6pm.
The third event in the series is an Oysters and Wine Evening on Oct.6 from 6-9pm at Wine Boutique for THB1,350. Offering Fresh Majestic, Utah Beach, Marenne D’Oleron, Fine de clair oysters from Ireland and France, Sofitel’s sommeliers have chosen specific wines to pair with each.
On Saturday, Oct.20, the hotel hosts a Five Continents Wine Dinner featuring global wines with dishes from five continents and served family-style at 6:30pm for THB2,100
The Wine Boutique is also open daily from 11am-11pm and visitors can stop in for a tasting anytime.
