In-N-Out Burger is serving West Coast-style burgers in Bangkok right now!

In-N-Out, the world-famous burger chain from California, is reportedly hosting a pop-up event in Bangkok for one day — today. In fact it’s happening right now until 3pm.

They reportedly only have the makings for just 300 burgers and — if they are running the event anything like their 2014 pop-up in Singapore — burger lovers may have to queue up to get a wristband that allows them one burger, as Straits Times reported about that event.

They have also done these pop-ups — usually quite stealthily with little or no advance notice — in Manila and another in KL on Jan. 22 of this year.

The event is being hosted at a venue on Sukhumvit Soi 10 that we were previously unaware of, a wine bar called CY Cabin.

At 11am, when we contacted the restaurant, manager Vasant Maphaet said there were only 20 people in line.

They are serving their three most famous burger varieties today. The Double-Double is a toasted bun, two beef patties, two slices of American cheese, onions (sliced or grilled), lettuce, tomato, and that special spread (kinda like Thousand Islands dressing); the Animal Style is a toasted bun, burger cooked in mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, and extra spread; and Protein Style is a regular patty but with no bun, and lettuce used to wrap it instead of break — this is for those that are oh-so-Los Angeles.

The bar’s Facebook page said that In-N-Out is holding this event — as it has held the others in Southeast Asia — to act as market research to gauge how much interest there is in the product and any possible future branch here.

These promotional hamburgers start at only THB60, or pay THB100 for a Double-Double Burger.
