We tried to for ourselves recently, and despite a bit of trembling nerves on the way up, we can confidently say it was an exciting, rewarding experience that we enjoyed to the fullest.
Here’s a little preview of what to expect: As soon as you’re seated a belt secures you in, nice and snug. But to be honest, you don’t even feel the harness once you’re levitating–it truly feels like you’re floating in the sky.
Fifty meters above the ground you’re served with an elegant four course dinner, crafted especially for Dinner In The Sky by the top chefs of Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit.
Feel the cool breeze as you hang, suspended in the sky, dining on sauteed asparagus with bearnaise sauce, creamy whipped Spanish baccala’ mantecato with Borlotti beans, and your choice between tantalizing main courses: red wine braised beef short ribs, pan fried butter fish with topinambour sauce, or juicy 12-hour braised lamb shoulder with onion and soft truffle polenta. The perfect finishing touch is coconut, chocolate and raspberry sherbet; a refreshing end to a spectacular experience.
Besides the gourmet meal, romantic (and adventurous) atmosphere, enjoying dinner with your feet way high up from the ground is something you can’t experience anywhere else. It’s a magical feeling that’s very difficult to describe. You just have to try it yourself!
