Thais don’t traditionally celebrate Halloween with trick or treating and pumpkin carving, but they do love scary movies, ghost stories, slutty nurse outfits, and on-theme cocktails just as much as people coming here from abroad. Here are some spots around the city to mingle with fellow horrormongers, scary clown impersonators, and gore makeup aficionados in the days leading up to the holiday.

Guests can enter the costume contest for the chance to win a free case of PBR or line up to play Cock Tossers, Double Bean Snake Shake, or Tall Gunners, at least one of which we assume is a drinking game.

One of our favorite bars, The Vagabondrecently and sadly closed their doors (well, as an outdoor bar they didn’t actually have a door but you, like, understand). The Halloween party will be on the rooftop of a hostel featuring the bar’s notoriously cheap drinks, including the Klong Island Iced Tea and homemade yadong.
