Who makes Thailand’s best meat-free meals?

Applications close next week to enter a climate-forward competition for completely plant-based dishes.

Three restaurants will win over THB1 million in prizes, including curated chef’s table events and promotional freebies in the “Innovate Your Plate” event by Root the Future.

The competition is open to restaurant owners, chefs, and food lovers.

A panel of judges will visit shortlisted restaurants across Thailand to decide the three winning venues.

Dishes must be made using “pulses,” aka legumes such as “lentils, chickpeas, beans, or peas  to create two dishes, the likes of which the world has never seen before!”

Dishes will be judged on taste, innovation, and popularity, and winners will be announced Jan. 3.

Winners will receive cash prizes as well as a professional photoshoot and video feature.

Applications are open now, and the rules are available here

The competition is hosted by plant-based sustainability platform Root the Future.
