What’s a little pandemic to stop Bangkok’s barflies from having a great time? This Sunday, the party is on at a highly acclaimed, rum-oriented tiki bar celebrating International Rum Day.
Tropic City is celebrating the day by inviting two top bartenders – Philtration’s Shavinraj Gopinath and Kiattikoon “Toon” Auengkum of Asia Today – to sling their signatures at a special event dubbed Battle for the Bar.
The event promises special rum cocktails, rum flights, rum tasting and more. To help it go down smoothly, the cocktail party will get groovy with dance music by DJ Maarten Goetheer on the deck as well as Tropic City co-owner Sebastian De La Cruz, who will spin under his alter ego DJ Seba.
The Battle of the Bar Takeover runs 5pm onward at Tropic City on Soi Charoen Krung 28, 1 kilometer from MRT Hua Lamphong.
