Monkey see, monkey booze? Macaque goes bananas over stolen beer on Pulau Ubin (Video)

He’s clearly done this before.
He’s clearly done this before.

Don’t know about you, but this video of a macaque chugging a cold one on Ubin Island has us craving a midday brew.

In a 40-second clip sent anonymously this week, the miscreant monkey sips from a can of beer stolen from a passer-by while hanging out in the jungle.

“There’s a monkey drinking a beer here that he stole from us, and there’s a wild boar over there,” a voice is heard saying in the video. “So, there’s a lot to see here.”

The clip opened with the beer-drinking macaque, who’s already cracked open the can of what might be a Kirin. The little brew bandit is fixed on getting his buzz and furiously refuses to share it with another thirsty primate.

Ubin is just a 10-minute boat ride from Singapore’s mainland and is often visited by locals looking to spend time in nature on bike or foot.

Friends of all things wild, Coconuts in no way supports feeding wildlife let alone enabling alcoholic monkeys.
