Man chases dream of shooting bears in riveting doc just in time for Earth Day

Thursday through Saturday, those WFH (watching from home) can jump into the frozen sea and swim face-to-face with a polar bear.

To mark Earth Day tomorrow, the Israeli embassy joined hands with Bangkok’s Documentary Club to show Picture of His Life for free. The film follows veteran Israeli wildlife lensman Amos Nachoum, who at 65 chased his dreams of capturing a polar bear underwater to the Canadian Arctic.

“Twelve people have landed on the moon; over 4,000 people summited Everest. Only five people swam with polar bears,” Nachoum said of his ursine quest. “And I was the only one able to capture … not one but two or three polar bear families in the water.”

Audiences can sign up online in exchange for a link and password to watch the movie for three days beginning Thursday. The movie is in English and will include Thai subtitles.
