Come Nov 1, Treeline Urban Resort will be the newest accommodation in Siem Reap, Cambodia. With 48 keys — consisting of 36 rooms and 12 suites — the boutique hotel sits on the banks of the Siem Reap riverfront, offering a view of lush foliage that guests can enjoy from the rooftop pool and bar area.
Conceptualized and owned by a young Cambodian designer, the resort takes its name from the magnificent Angkorian trees dotted along the pathways, and it’s managed by Hospitality Management and Development Asia, the group behind properties like Shinta Mani hotels, as well as restaurants and bars across Southeast Asia.
Going the contemporary route, its design blends traditional Cambodian elements with elegant modern touches to create cozy rooms that offer a tranquil retreat from the bustle of city life. Depending on the room you book, you’ll be overlooking the courtyard garden, the vibrant streets, or the Siem Reap river.
During your stay, you could easily spend a day luxuriating at the Suri spa — which uses all natural and locally-made products — then refueling at the in-house eateries without leaving Treeline Urban Resort’s leafy grounds.
There’s Seed Restaurant for local and international cuisine, Hok Noodle Bar & Grill for Asian-style tapas, Brown Coffee Shop for caffeine and baked goods, and Canopy Bar for cocktails or smoothies. Or if you prefer to head out and explore, its location in Siem Reap’s historic quarter gives guests easy access to the city’s food, art, and cultural scene.
Treeline Urban Resort will open on Nov 1 at Achasva Street, Wat Bo Village, Sala Kamroek Commune, Siem Reap, Cambodia. (+855) 63 961 234. Reservations at book@treelinehotels.com. Rates from US$180/night.
