Most of us have seen paparazzi photos of celebrities living it up on a yacht. What a life — jacuzzis, big screen TVs, ice buckets full of champagne… all in the middle of the ocean.
While vacationing on a yacht may always remain just a dream for many, one company in Phuket allows you to make it a reality — even if it’s only for one day (and night).
Sure, even renting a yacht isn’t exactly cheap, but the boats operated by Isabella Yachts Phuket are pretty darn fancy. Let’s take a look:
Into a full sailing experience? As many as 40 people can jump onboard this super yacht for a day cruise, or up to 10 can stay overnight. The 104-foot Sparks and Stephens-designed boat boasts intense luxury. Completed in 2011, it has a teak deck and aluminum hull, modern cabins, a full wine bar on deck (wine and beer are included in the rental price) and another bar in the cockpit.
The master cabin’s ensuite bathroom also has a solid teak bathtub. That’s right, a wooden bathtub.
Starting at THB165,000 (US$5,040) to rent for 24 hours, she comes equipped with four crew members there to service the guests, including taking you to snorkeling spots and nearby remote islands — it’s all based on the guests’ preferences.
Want to go more luxe? This 135-footer can also hold 40 guests for day cruises. If you’re willing to spend THB740,000 (US$22,600), then congrats — you’re probably pretty rich, and you can use that money to enjoy a Sir Norman Foster and Partners-designed yacht that goes heavy on the outdoor lounge areas and even offers a jacuzzi on the deck.
Since this is their most premium rental, even jet skis are included onboard. When you get tired on being in the sun, relax in the onboard cinema or workout in the gym.
Or max out your rental by grabbing this massive catamaran that can hold up to 80 people and is designed for day cruises.
Described as “literally a floating beach club,” this baby is often chartered for weddings, birthdays, and bachelor/bachelorette outings. The tables have built-in ice buckets and guests can arrange to have a private DJ spin from the boat’s built-in DJ booth and sound system. Got your sea legs? Best to bring ’em, since the boat also has a dance floor.
After guests burn off their cocktail calories on the dance floor, they can chill on one of the super-smooshy oversized bean bag sun beds and enjoy the Andaman sea views.
With a rental price of THB130,000 (US$3,970), it’s far from being cheap, but if you split the bill with 79 of your nearest and dearest, then it would ‘only’ come out to THB1,625 (US$50) per person. Now, start making that invite list.
