There’s been much hype about Equals — the latest sci-fi/romance flick soon to hit theatres — ever since its young Hollywood stars Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult dropped by Singapore for filming.
All that hype went up in flames when it premiered at the 72nd Venice International Film Festival to largely meh reviews. Having the two stars act in a futuristic domain devoid of emotions (hey, that’s exactly like Singapore!) didn’t impress critics that much, with many calling the movie stylish and pretty, but generic and dull.
It’ll finally get a wide release on May 26 however, and they’ve only recently released a proper trailer for the movie. From what we’ve seen, it looks like the Henderson Waves Bridge will play pretty prominently as a secret meeting point. Try to catch more glimpses of Singaporean sites, and let us know which ones we didn’t see.
