Russell Peters takes Almost Famous world tour to Singapore

Record-breaking Canadian stand-up comedian and actor Russell Peters is returning to Singapore after sold out shows here in 2012 and 2013. 

This time his performance is part of a world tour called Almost Famous, which will also stop in Australia, India, Kenya, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka. 

The Singapore show is currently a one-night-only on April 7, 8pm at Halls 601 — 604 of the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. 

According to his website, the Almost Famous world tour promises new material, including Peters’ take on some of his favourite communities, jobs he can understand, cell phones, dating and his uncle who’s never been punched in the mouth.

Peters, who’s known for interacting with front rows to create unique experiences for each audience, last appeared on the big screen as a police officer in Jon Favreau’s Chef

Tickets are $108 — 228 from Sistic, and will go on sale Jan. 31.
