If you’ve always wanted to be part of a flash mob but could never get your two left feet to coordinate, this may be your kind of thing. Social enterprise The Hidden Good is back with its fourth edition of The MP3 Experiment, which will be held in October.
Not quite sure what that entails? It’s basically a ‘Simon Says’ type of social experiment that sees about one thousand participants download an MP3 track and gather a secret location annually. When the time comes, everyone will press play at the same time and receive the same instructions to carry out activities such as walk in slow motion, high five a stranger or buzz like a bee — it’s all in the name of fun, of course.
This year’s event in October is held in conjunction with the Got To Move campaign, so expect crazy stuff like zombie tag, a sock monster battle, strangers drawing portraits of one another, and lots more.
Check out previous years’ happenings below and sign up if you’re keen on doing something random on a weekend and/or making new friends.

The MP3 Experiment Singapore 2016 is on Oct 15, 5pm-11pm at a secret location. Details will be disclosed closer to the date. Registration is free.
