Fans and clubbers — Zouk is staying at its Jiak Kim Street location… at least for a couple more years.
The Singapore Land Authority (SLA), Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) announced in a joint statement that a lease extension up to 2017 would be given to Zouk if it can find a new location by June 30 next year.
The three organisations came to the decision after taking into consideration about the issues faced by residents living in the club’s vicinity, as well as Zouk’s influential contribution to Singapore’s reputation in the international entertainment scene.
