Folks were aMOOsed (okay, that was bad) this morning after seeing a viral post on social media, in which an actual bovine was pictured being led into a HDB lift.
Apparently, it happened in good ol’ Yishun, at Block 506B along Yishun Avenue 4. Just an udderly run-of-the-mill day in the notorious neighbourhood, amirite?

But let’s stop you there before you put your beef out to pasture. Cow visits at housing estates is a totally legit practice, and if this indeed happened recently, it wouldn’t be the first time. It’s rare, but cows sometimes do get hired as part of a housewarming ritual — Hindus believe that bovines bring good luck and blessings to homes, by having them poop and splash urine at the house.
Don’t believe us? A cow was rented from Vicknesh Dairy Farm to bless a fifth-floor flat in Punggol Place back in 2012, while a family brought a cow and a calf into their newly-renovated home at Eight Courtyards condominium in 2014.
