Welp, we’ve officially sold out. The Singapore Mint has announced commemorative medallions that features a handshake between the leaders of North Korea and the United States, as well as the flags of both countries the date of the summit (it’s on June 12, btw).
On the flip side of the medallion is an embossed image of a peace dove and the words “World Peace”, because why the hell not. The national flowers of the US and North Korea — the rose and magnolia sieboldii — are also featured on the back.

Available in gold, silver and base-metal versions, The Singapore Mint announced the items for pre-order today ahead of the historic summit here when US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un meets to discuss denuclearization, among other things. “The medallions not only commemorate this momentous step to world peace, but mark Singapore’s role as a neutral host, and an economic and security gateway between the East and the West,” wrote The Singapore Mint.
The coins start as low as $36 for the nickel-plated zinc proof-like medallion, while the golden boys go for $1,380. Buy enough of the medallions and you might just help Singapore foot the bill for the monumental costs of the summit because North Korea’s allegedly not willing to cough up the cash to stay at The Fullerton.

The reason for the pricey figures is that the medallions are limited edition — only 1,000 gold medallion pieces have been minted, while silver medallions are only limited to 10,000 pieces. The nickel ones will be minted according to demand.
The Singapore Mint’s own endeavor follows The White House’s own commemorative coins for the Trump-Kim summit, which go for US$24.95 (plus shipping) a pop. Following Trump’s initial cancellation of the meeting, the prices dropped to US$19.95, and it remains at that price point on the White House Gift Shop. If you ask us, The Singapore Mint’s version looks a tad classier, as mawkish as it is.

Alternatively, you could fork out $200 for The Singapore Mint’s commemorative coins for Solo: A Star Wars Story, including one that has Darth Vader embossed on a Silver Proof coin. After all, what’s another medallion featuring power-hungry leaders leaning towards the dark side?
