Singaporeans will soon be able to spend weekends at Coney Island or Pulau Serangoon, about 100m in the northeastern coast of Singapore.
The island set to open in 2015 will include a bird watching station, solar street lights, walkways, as well as other features that will make it fit for sports and recreation.
The development of Coney Island, part of the Master Plan announced by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), will retain a small section not immediately required for redevelopment, as an interim park.
