WWII hand grenade found in Marine Parade

The Singapore Army’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) was dispatched for the second time this month to identify and remove a war relic from a public space.

Mere weeks after construction workers found a hand grenade under a tree in Outram, another was discovered, another one also dating back to World War II was found in a construction site in the Marine Parade area.

It was assessed to be safe to handle and was later disposed of.
