Woman who was rescued after found floating in Marina Bay dies in hospital

Though a woman was successfully revived after getting rescued from the waters of Marina Bay on Monday morning, she has reportedly died yesterday. 

The 49-year-old woman was found floating face down in the waters near Helix Bridge and was later rescued by Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) firefighters, who brought her to shore. On the way to Singapore General Hospital, medics were able to resuscitate her in the ambulance. 

In response to media queries, a police spokesman stated that she died in the hospital on Tuesday, The Straits Times reports. 

Police are still conducting investigations into the case.
