71-year-old Jennifer Green is suing Singapore Airlines for supposedly being responsible for an injury she sustained on board SIA flight 228 from Melbourne to Singapore on July 31, 2014.
Apparently, a flight attendant accidentally spilled a tray of drinks on her husband Colin’s lap, and he bumped into her. This in turn caused her to hit her foot against the metal footrest in front. And then her injured foot aggravated her diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis, according to Aussie newspaper The Age.
So Green filed a suit in the Supreme Court of Victoria in Australia, asking for compensation from SIA for her hospital and medical expenses.
SIA did not comment on the case.
