Passengers on Go-Ahead bus service 43 got their commute really delayed on Friday night when a woman held up everyone just because she missed her stop.
Pravin Kumar shared a video of the woman making a right fuss at a bus stop outside MacPherson MRT Station Exit C, preventing the bus from departing by standing right in front of it.
“I’ll definitely make a complaint against (the bus driver)!” shouted the woman in Mandarin, while a man tries to get her to move. According to Pravin, the woman had missed her stop earlier in the journey and demanded that the bus driver make a U-turn back to her destination.
“The driver made all his attempts and efforts to convince her that it was not possible for him to return to her desired bus stop and was trying to offer suggestions which she did not understand and kept talking away,” wrote Pravin. She then got down and blocked the bus from moving, and that’s when the video begins.
A man — presumably one of the passengers — can be heard warning her that he’ll call the police. He also suggested that she could lodge a complaint to Go-Ahead later on, and that she should stop making everyone else wait.
The ordeal was not over. She then got on the bus and spoke to someone from Go-Ahead over the intercom. The latter told her that she should be taking a bus going on the opposite direction to get back to her stop, but that lady refused to listen. Even after the Go-Ahead staff assured her that buses heading towards her stop are still running.
“You guys have your schedule, but what about mine? I don’t even know where I am or where I should go. I don’t want to block the bus, but the driver took me to the wrong place,” she argued. During the course of the back-and-forth, passengers can be seen exiting the bus out of frustration.
The video ends with bystanders at the bus stop requesting her to exit the bus before it finally moved off again.
“The entire event had to ruin the night and delay everyone,” an exasperated Pravin wrote.
