On Monday, Sept. 25, a tragic incident unfolded in a Bukit Batok flat, where a 29-year-old woman was discovered hanging outside the kitchen window.

A widely circulated social media video captured the efforts of SCDF officers as they worked diligently to safely lower her lifeless body from the third floor of Block 104 Bukit Batok Central.

Numerous online commentators speculated that the woman might have been a foreign domestic helper.

In response to AsiaOne’s inquiries the SCDF revealed that they had received an assistance call around 6:20am.

Employing safety ropes, they secured the individual and carefully lowered her to the second floor. Subsequently, she was brought into the second floor unit via the kitchen window. Tragically, the person was pronounced deceased at the scene by a paramedic.

The police, on the other hand, confirmed that they had been alerted to an unnatural death case.

Preliminary investigations have not raised any suspicions of foul play, and police inquiries are currently underway.
