Keep your eyes peeled for the once-in-a-decade experience where you might see the rare hybrid solar eclipse in Singapore’s skies tomorrow.
If the weather permits, a partial solar eclipse will be visible for just over two hours from 10:54am, where it will be about at most 15% covered at 11:55am, and end at 12:58pm.
This particular solar eclipse will only be visible across most of Australia, Asia and the Pacific.
You can tune in to the live stream at the Science Centre Observatory or be present at the centre’s viewing session in the Ecogarden. Special solar glasses (not the same as regular sunglasses) will also be sold at the centre’s shops for better viewing.
Coconuts recently spoke to Science Centre Singapore’s Science Educator Tan Jyh Harng to find out more about the phenomenon.
