Where are you going, Sundram?

Rumours about where LionsXII coach V. Sundramoorthy is going next are rife, but one thing seems to be sure: he won’t be at the helm of the national Under-23 team as they compete in the 2013 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games happening this December in Myanmar.

The negotiation talks between the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) and the Singapore national player seem to have fallen through—The Straits Time Online reported today that Sundram has accepted a lucrative two-year deal with Malaysian club Negri Sembilan and that former national team captain Aide Iskandar will be taking his place as head coach.

Nicknamed “The Dazzler”, Sundram recently led the LionsXII team to a spectacular Malaysian Super League win, the country’s first in almost 20 years.

In other news, Sundram is confident the LionsXII will make up for the first three winless games at the next Malaysia Cup game against Perak this Saturday, and that Singapore’s golden boy Fandi Ahmad may be moving to Pahang FA… or at least that’s the rumour the ExcluSinga fan club just started earlier this afternoon.

[UPDATED AUGUST 29] Coach Sundramoorthy has not yet decided if he will be staying for the Southeast Asian Games. He is due to give his answer to FAS next week.
