What is happening? Yet another SIA plane ‘gone rogue’

Mere days after SQ998 veered off the runway while landing at the Yangon International Airport, another Singapore Airlines (SIA) aircraft is reported to have ‘run off course’.

According to the Herald Sun, an SIA Airbus A380 struck an aerobridge at Sydney Airport this morning when it was taxiing into its gate after flying in from Singapore, at about 9am local time.

A tweet by one Alex Chapman provides a visual:

Sydney Airport detected no operational impact, while SIA has confirmed that there were no injuries to the 285 passengers and 25 crew onboard, though they did have to cancel outbound flight SQ222, reports the Melbourne newspaper.
