The first riot in Singapore in 40 years happened on Sunday, Dec. 8, in Little India. 31 Indian nationals have been charged in court so far for rioting, with each facing up to 10 years imprisonment plus caning. The riot has also triggered an alcohol ban in parts of the neighbourhood.
