A burly man wielding a sword and dressed as a samurai was spotted in an MRT train on Monday, Dec. 16. He reportedly alighted at Dhoby Ghaut station and was subsequently arrested at one of Ernest Zacharevic’s murals at Victoria Street.

Member of Parliament (MP) representing Tampines GRC Baey Yam Keng received flak for posting a picture of his $2.50 nasi padang early this week. He’s already removed the price from his Facebook status and has tried explaining himself (to no avail), but hold on a second, Mr. Baey says everyone can enjoy $2.50 lunch combos at the Al-Madina hawker stall this weekend, where a charity drive for the Tampines North welfare fund is being held. Erm, yeahoo?

The ban on alcohol consumption in Little India will continue this weekend. However, some establishments may still be allowed to sell alcoholic drinks.

A rare waterspout was spotted around Woodlands area.

One suspect has been arrested in relation to the brutal murder of a 33-year-old Indian woman Jasvinder Kaur, whose corpse was found with its head and hands missing. The other suspect, who is a friend to the arrested and the husband of the deceased, Harvinder Singh, is currently on the run. Police investigations are still ongoing.
