13 schools reportedly had their websites hacked on Wednesday, Nov. 20 between 3.30pm to 5pm.
It is uncertain whether the hacker is part of the Anonymous collective but a screenshot on Hack-DB — a website archive of hacktivism and cyber-crime — revealed that somebody who goes by the nickname “Jack Riderr” is involved.
According to Channel NewsAsia, the single server that hosts all the 13 websites was compromised and the matter has since been handed over to the police for further investigation.
The schools on the server are Canberra Primary School, Woodlands Ring Primary School, Bukit Timah Primary School, Greendale Primary School, South View Primary School, West View Primary School, Compassvale Primary School, Henderson Secondary School, Kent Ridge Secondary School, Maris Stella High School, Raffles Girls’, St Gabriel’s Secondary School, and St Andrew’s Junior College.
As at Thursday morning, Nov. 21, the websites are still temporarily unavailable.
