A Russian restaurant in Singapore recalls the viral traumatizing incident that involved a man so aggressive that police had to be called in.
Shashlik Restaurant told Coconuts last night that they had to call in the police as the Caucasian man who hurled death threats and racist remarks at staff couldn’t accept the fact that the restaurant had closed and wasn’t taking in any more orders.
“We had to call the police for assistance as the customer refused to leave and we were concerned about the safety of our other guests in the house and our staff, in case the customer escalated the situation further,” the restaurant’s spokesperson said.
A video circulating online this week showed the furious bald man shouting and getting up close with staff while telling them to “back the fuck up” and threatening to “drop every last fucking” one of them.
“I will close your establishment down and I will fuck every family member you got from her to China, you little bitch because I own China too! Fuck you!” he screamed.
The family-friendly restaurant said the man and his partner arrived at about 9:15pm on Sunday even though its “Closed” sign was hung at the door. Their kitchen had also closed for the day at 9pm.
But the entitled man refused all explanations from staff that they were unable to serve him. He quickly turned aggressive and threw a fit while a whole room of diners watched.
The restaurant’s streak of well-behaved customers has now been broken thanks to the man whose behavior can “never be tolerated,” said the restaurant.
“We take comfort that such an incident has never happened in our 37 years of history. All of our guests have been wonderful patrons which made it a joy for us to serve and our restaurant a great place for our staff to work with dignity,” the restaurant added.
