Getting turned down by residents is part and parcel of conducting house-to-house surveys, sales, or fundraising campaigns, and really, you don’t have to be an asshole about it.

One Facebook post that’s been going viral since yesterday night depicted an extraordinarily childish act done out of spite. Footage recorded via a peephole camera caught a trio of young men apparently going door-to-door with a clipboard, asking a resident if she could spare a few minutes to talk. After being (politely) rejected, one of the young men grabbed a baby bolster on a drying rack and didn’t hesitate to toss it off the common corridor to the ground below.

The police have been alerted to the incident (through the many angry folks tagging the Singapore Police Force’s Facebook page), and it won’t be long before someone tries to weed out the culprit’s identity — such is the nature of online vigilantism. The video’s uploader, Fazreen Sallim, got what he wanted when he sought out to “make them famous”, with over 2,300 shares of his post as of writing.
