Friendship knows no bounds for sure, and one of the many attestations to the statement can be exemplified in the camaraderie between Maheswaran Shanmugam and Thomas Franks.
Right off the bat, both of them couldn’t be any more different — Franks is an entrepreneur from South Carolina, USA, while Maheswaran is a truck driver from Chennai, India. The one thing that they do have in common is that both migrated to Singapore for better opportunities.
Initially meeting each other at a lantern festival back in 2010, an unlikely friendship blossomed through the years as both of them made each other feel more at home in their new environment. Check out the stories of the true bro-ship they share in a video by the Singapore Kindness Movement:
