Amidst all the high-spirited celebrations at the National Day Parade yesterday, one noticeably not-so-excited primary school kid took the chance to flip the bird on national television when cameras panned to him at the Marina Bay floating platform. Obviously, he became the talk of the town overnight as footage of him doing the deed spread throughout the social media realm.
Admit it, we all flip off more than we’d like, but this boy right here decided to take it up a notch on live TV, a place where most grown-ups would tread carefully.
The unnamed kid sure gave us a laugh, although a photo of him apparently getting a dressing-down from his teachers later circulated on Facebook. Sad to say, it probably did not end well for him.

Funnily enough, this isn’t the first time a kid has flashed a middle finger in front of the camera on National Day, as seen from this resurfaced clip of last year’s telecast of NDP.
We can only imagine how many other kids are gonna start copying these guys’ schoolboy humor pranks at future parades to become instant viral sensations.
