There are the cool cafes, and then there’s this uncle’s rad tuckshop stall. Tucked away at Queensway Secondary School (those lucky students and teachers!), the space looks nothing like the ordinary school tuckshop stalls of your memories.

It’s quirkily decked out in all kinds of eclectic knick knacks, and Mr Tham, the owner, is a former hotelier who loves to experiment with his recipes.

For about 19 years, he’s been creating dishes like carrot soup, lobster bisque and salmon chowder for the students and teachers in the school — he also whips up a mean ice blended chocolate (that goes for just $1.10) and kopi peng (iced coffee) made with coffee ice cubes, espresso and milk.

Naturally, his affordable dishes and drinks got netizens half-jokingly plotting ways to enter the school to sample his creations. It also got people reminiscing about their school days and what they loved best from their school tuckshops.

Watch in envy below.
