WATCH: We tried three Trump-Kim summit F&B specials that were actually decent

The Trump-Kim spectacle had us crazy with summit fever, but some Singaporean restaurants are proving that experimental cuisine and cocktails are the cure for what ails you.

We sampled three of the more adventurous summit-inspired menu items foods and drinks to find out if they were up to the task. As shamelessly promotional as they were.

Best Cocktail: Hopheads

Singapore’s favorite dive-bar themed pub created a signature cocktail with ingredients inspired by both leaders: grape-flavored soju (for Mr. Kim), beer, tequila, and diet Coke (a nod to Mr. Trump). We got to make one behind the bar then slam it down, sake-bomb style.

Best Food: Lucha Loco

Their “taco summit,” a platter inspired by the two world leaders, was a real crowd pleaser. We couldn’t decide which we liked better: the “El Gringo” – a cheeseburger with pickles and a Big Mac-inspired secret sauce served on a corn tortilla – or the “Rocket Man,” with Korean fried chicken, purple cabbage, and pickled radish.

Best F&B Combo: Royal Plaza on Scotts

This perennial high-class favorite served up a combination plate with a fusion of items you might find on an American or North Korean menu. The kimchi-topped chicken slider was served alongside a vegetarian maki roll, french fries, and a lightly sweetened iced tea.
