Cosplayers — pop culture enthusiasts who frequently don costumes of their favorite figures from anime, video games, and other lore — are more often than not on the young-ish side.

But age is not a factor for Shirley Chua, a 70-year-old cosplayer who’s been a frequent and colorful sight at conventions. The former beauty pageant contestant found a way to relive her modeling days in her septuagenarian years by crafting her own costumes from scratch and popping up at shows in full regalia (that Ana from Overwatch outfit is on point).

She had a pretty tough time navigating her younger days, as she regales her life story to The Good Guyde, but it sure is inspiring to see someone at her age doing deadlifts and having fun dressing up as iconic characters from geek fandom.
