StarHub just keeps killing it in its ads. Together with the Alzheimer’s Disease Association (and the amazing video producers at Freeflow Productions), the telco marketed iPhone 6s on the StarHub Plus 3 plan as the perfect bundle for family bonding.
It’s an odd premise on paper — associating Alzheimer’s with a mobile phone deal — but somehow it works, and it works well, too. The director’s version of the short film is a more poignant, extended ad about a son’s commitment to recreate memories with his dad, who’s afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease. There’s beautiful cinematography and brilliant editing — everything you won’t expect when watching a commercial that’s selling three gigabytes more data for your mobile plan.
