While SMRT’s higher-ups are busy clearing up pests from their workforce, some of their staff were caught on camera having their hands full dealing with other lounge lizards in their midst.
Like, a literal lizard. A huge monster that somehow found its way to the undercarriage of a train that was being serviced in one of SMRT’s depots yesterday.

When the reptile managed to slip out from the machinery, it didn’t seem to want to make a hasty exit — it snarled at the highly amused staffers instead. While some proceeded to poke and prod the monitor lizard into leaving, the man recording the shenanigans can be heard advising his colleagues not to be so rough.

The lizard eventually grew tired of being pushed around and started becoming hostile to the men surrounding it. While it was distracted, one of the SMRT staff grabbed a hold of its tail and dragged it out of the garage. Probably not the best method in the eyes of animal rights activists, but likely the quickest one.
