Despite the best efforts of Hougang residents to get Pokémon Go players off their lawn, the district still remains a nightly mecca for thirsty trainers who really want to catch ’em all.
In other words, it’s a spot that’s so, so ripe for epic pranks.
Someone eventually had to do it, so local humour site SGAG went ahead and pretended to discover Snorlax (a pretty rare and powerful Normal-type) near the usual hotspot at Hougang Avenue 10. What followed was a scary display of mob mentality — everyone just rushed over because others were doing it too.

As for Hougang residents who are sick of the litter, noise and utter assholery of some Pokémon Go players, don’t worry — research has found that the game is seeing huge drop-offs in downloads and active users. Eventually, folks will just stop playing it.
