Legends never die — not even the annoyingly viral hit Pen Pineapple Apple Pen (PPAP). Months on since Japanese comedian Daimaou Kosaka portrayed fictional popstar Pikotaro and posted the very gobbledegook music video on YouTube, the 45-second jingle is still very much a thing, it seems.
The man was invited over to make an appearance at the recent Anime Festival Asia in Singapore, and Kosaka gladly obliged. 45 seconds, however, was way too short (or way too long) to come over all the way here — so he performed the extended version. Despite what you think of the now-overplayed meme, it’s still pretty amusing to see the garish man in the flesh. Watch the video below:
