WATCH: Passers-by pitch in to help rescue taxi driver from overturned cab

An accident involving two cars and a cab resulted in an overturned taxi in the middle of the road by SAFRA Tampines on Tuesday (June 6). According to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), the incident occurred around 6.20pm.

The 61-year-old ComfortDelGro cabbie was hurt and stuck in his vehicle. Footage of the aftermath of the accident showed passers-by coming to the driver’s rescue, and some of them tended to him as he sat on the grass divider nearby.

The taxi driver was later sent to Changi General Hospital with minor injuries, reports Channel NewsAsia.
