We’ve all been subjected to boring in-flight safety videos that we tolerate for several long minutes. Even the one on board Singapore Airlines planes wasn’t exactly the most creative… until now, that is.

Behold, the new and improved SIA vid, featuring the Singapore Girl taking you on a trip to several familiar and iconic landmarks in the country. From Boat Quay and the River Safari to Haji Lane and Henderson Waves to Capitol Theatre and Gardens by the Bay, the beautifully-shot journey across the island could convince even Singaporeans to re-visit some of these places.

It’s no wonder the video was produced in partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board — it cleverly doubles as a promotional clip for tourists. But hey, any in-flight safety video that can captivate our short attention span for almost six entire minutes deserves to be lauded.

Check it out on SIA flights from the end of the year.

While we’re on the subject, here are some pretty amazing tourism promos in-flight safety videos by airlines like Air New Zealand and Qantas.

And who can forget the recently released, celebrity-studded British Airways one?
