Changi Airport — the best in the world — is gonna get a whole lot cooler in the years to come, when Jewel Changi Airport is completed. Glittering with over 9,600 pieces of glass, the five-storey space is slated for an early 2019 opening, and will feature about 300 shops and F&B outlets, according to The Straits Times.

Jewel will be directly connected to Terminal 1, with links to the other two terminals. Some highlights of the billion-dollar development include a five-storey garden consisting of 2,500 trees and 100,000 shrubs from countries like Australia, Brazil, Thailand and the US, as well as a 40m-tall indoor waterfall.

Watch the stunning vid below for a glimpse of what to expect in two years’ time.
