WATCH: Hilarious heavy metal troupe rocks the total eff out at a Malay wedding

In case you aren’t familiar with the intricacies of Malaysian jiwang metal, Amuk is this old metal band known for its masked band members, like Slipknot. Unlike Slipknot, however, the group is less scary and sings about love in Bahasa Melayu. Less growly too, and more chesty belting like Metallica’s James Hetfield

Amuk doesn’t do stints at Malay weddings held at Singapore’s void decks. But this Amuk cover ‘band’ totally does and it went, well, totally amok as its members air-guitared through a headbanging track recently at a wedding last weekend.

Unconfined by cables, amps (or even real instruments), the void deck proved to be too small a stage for them, and so they spread the gospel of metal to the open-air carpark. Somebody get these goofball metalheads a contract — they need to be at more weddings and children’s parties.
