The sight of a double-decker bus barrelling straight towards you is not what anyone would want to see while driving, but motorists had a taste of the ordeal last Saturday afternoon.
SMRT has since suspended its driver who continued driving the double-decker bus service 960 against traffic along Victoria Street. Apparently, the bus driver made a turn into the wrong lane from Ophir Road while heading towards Marina Centre Terminal.
Dashcam footage of the incident didn’t depict a scene of chaos — vehicles in the right-most lane of the road slowly made way for the bus to pass through.
SMRT issued an apology to all affected commuters and road users who were inconvenienced that day, assuring that the matter is being investigated.
