If these two pedestrians had even budged a couple of inches to their left while walking on the pavement, it would have been a much different story. Somehow, the universe aligned enough for the man and the child to narrowly miss a car that had been barrelling at top speed towards them.
Honestly, we’d have shat our pants instantly if we’d been in their shoes.
Said to have taken place along Choa Chu Kang Street 52 last Saturday, the driver appeared to have lost control of the car and ploughed right into a sheltered walkway outside De La Salle School. If you look closely, you’ll see that split second when the driver managed to make a slight adjustment to narrowly miss the pedestrians.
As you can see above, the car’s velocity was enough to lift both its front wheels in the air as the wrecked pillar barely managed to hold on. Then the man simply sauntered away from the crash site, as if the near-death experience seemed pretty meh to him.
