Barely a week since the last Cyclist VS Motorist confrontation, another similar altercation took place along Pasir Ris Drive 3 yesterday.
Yet again, it’s unclear what exactly happened prior to this video clip, but at least we get to hear the cyclist’s side of the story first.
- Cyclist was riding along Pasir Ris Drive 3 and wanted to overtake a fellow cyclist on the road.
- Cyclist overtakes, but an Audi car in front jammed the brakes.
- Cyclist could not avoid the car in time, and his hand hits the back of the car.
- Car stops a 100 meters away from the accident site.
- Cyclist tried to apologize but got bombarded with verbal abuse by lady driver and her husband.
- Cyclist started recording the argument after the couple gets aggressive.
While the cyclist’s description can’t be verified, what can be said for sure is that the Audi couple really doesn’t like having a camera in front of their face.
- 0:45 – The driver states that the cyclist is “not a Singaporean anyway”.
- 1:04 – The husband threatens to put up the dashcam footage to “the social media”.
- 1:15 – The cyclist shows that there is “no scratch” on the car at all, stating that the spot where the driver is pointing to is a “paint touch-up”.
- 1:32 – The lady can’t stand to be filmed anymore and tries to shove the cyclist’s camera away.
- 1:42 – Husband asks if the cyclist wants to fight
- 1:54 – Lady struggles with the cyclist quite vigorously, only stopping when a passerby sees her
- 2:09 – Horrified passerby exclaims that the lady shouldn’t be attacking him. “The moment you fight him, you are in the wrong,” says the passerby.
- 2:30 – Annoyed by the attacks, the cyclist threatens the lady. “I left foot you ah,” he warned (that means he wants to kick her).
- 3:06 – Lady wants to call the cops, and cyclist agrees.“ Yes, yes, correct, call the poleeeese”. He insists that the law protects the weak in Singapore.
- 3:20 – The husband has had enough of the camera in his face, demanding the cyclist to stop recording. He starts acting violently too.
