It’s another round of Truck Driver versus Cyclist, and yet again, no one comes out a winner.
A truck driver got knocked right onto his ass after trying to intimidate a cyclist along Jalan Eunos on Sunday morning, and it was all caught on camera. It’s unclear what kicked off the altercation in the first place, but the clip begins with the cyclist walking up to the truck, making angry gestures at the driver.
The driver retaliates by using his truck to try and squash the cyclist. The attempt failed, and simply annoyed the cyclist, who walks away with his two-wheeler in hand.
The truck driver doesn’t let up. He rushed out of his vehicle with an object in hand, presumably to intimidate the other party. The cyclist sees it all coming and throws a swift left hook when the driver got in his face.
The driver dropped to the ground like a damp rag, but the punch wasn’t enough to knock him out. He did sit down for a moment to check his nose, but tries to get up after the cyclist gets on his bike.
According to the Roads.sg Facebook page, no police report was lodged — both of them would have been considered to be in the wrong, anyway. Look what happened the last time when a truck driver (literally) clashed with a cyclist.
Such a scene was ripe for comedy, and local humor page Kiasu Memes For Singaporean Teens chose a Curb Your Enthusiasm bit.
