Admire the lush greenery of Mother Nature at Bukit Panjang’s newly-reopened Pang Sua Pond, which has been recently revamped under PUB’s Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters Programme. Built in the 1990s, the stormwater collection pond — which collects rainwater runoff from the surrounding catchment and pumps the water to Upper Seletar Reservoir for treatment and storage — has undergone landscaping enhancements so residents in the area can take part in more recreational activities there.

One of the highlights of the pond’s facelift is its new 480m boardwalk that’s suspended up to seven metres above the waters (so you can kind of ‘walk on water’) and connects surrounding facilities like the Senja-Cashew Community Club, Bukit Panjang Neighbourhood 5 Park and the new 3G Wellness Centre. On the northern edge, the second largest man-made floating wetland system in Singapore — slightly bigger than an Olympic-sized swimming pool — is represented by a collection of wetland plants. Residents can also organize performances or community events at the new 250-seater multi-purpose stage that overlooks the waters.
