The husband-and-wife team helming typography-led creative agency Relay Room is pissed off, or at least they were, right after discovering that luxe hotel W Singapore Sentosa Cove had stolen the design for their Chinese New Year red packet.
Creative director Mark Yehan De Winne posted on his Facebook page yesterday, “I’m sorry to say that Relay Room has been ripped off for Chinese New Year by W Singapore Sentosa Cove. Shame on you… whoever is responsible for this.”
He later wrote, “Two hours later… I’m still pissed off by the audacity of W Singapore Sentosa Cove — you stole our (Relay Room) red packet design”, accompanied by a photo comparison.

The hotel belonging to the Starwood group heard him loud and clear.
Two hours after Mark’s second post, his wife and local singer Sarah Cheng revealed that the hotel’s marketing manager had contacted her and that both parties were working out an amicable solution.
